Technical Question - Brakhot 4
I didn't understand what the difference is between the שפיר and the שליא. Sadly, clarification from the Gemara might not come for another 7 years when we reach Niddah. Any thoughts?
Shilya is a placenta, I think, and I believe Shapir is translated foetus. Does that sound right?
ReplyDeleteDefinitions of "placenta" or "amniotic sac" are offered for both. It's not clear to me what, if anything, is the distinction.
